Gervon Dexter, Florida DL, announces plans for 2023 season
Gervon Dexter is moving on.
The senior defensive lineman announced on social media that he would declare for the 2023 NFL Draft. Dexter thanked both staffs he played under, Dan Mullen and Billy Napier, and his position coaches.
Dexter, who is listed at 6-foot-6 and 312 pounds, and started at defensive tackle in all 12 games this season and made 50 tackles.
Last year, he appeared in all 13 games this season, and started in 9 games. He had a team-high 9 tackles (eight solo) with a TFL in the Gasparilla Bowl against UCF.
Dexter did not share if he would play in Florida’s bowl game, the Las Vegas Bowl, to finish the 2022 season.
He was a member of Florida’s 2020 recruiting class out of Lake Wales (Florida) High, and the first consensus 5-star prospect to sign with the Gators in 5 years.
