Former Florida coach Urban Meyer may be long past facing off against Georgia on an annual basis. But that doesn’t mean his feelings toward the Bulldogs have changed. Especially since he has a daughter and son-in-law who are Georgia Tech graduates.

But the topic was raised again by Meyer himself during the NFL Draft when his new team, the Jacksonville Jaguars, used a sixth round pick to draft Georgia Tech wide receiver Jalen Camp to join the team. When Meyer called Camp to inform him he was being picked by Jacksonville, Meyer took a shot at the Bulldogs, starting the call by saying to Camp “to hell with Georgia, right?” and Camp quickly agreed.

Of course, Florida had the upper hand in the series against Georgia during the Meyer years, however, Camp’s Georgia Tech program has struggled against the Bulldogs, as the Yellow Jackets are on a three-game losing streak in the series.

In 2020, Camp caught 27 passes for 417 yards and four touchdowns. A 2-star prospect coming out of South Forsyth High School in metro Atlanta in the 2016 recruiting class, Camp surpassed expectations on The Flats.

Here’s the video of the interaction between Meyer and his new receiver below:
