Hurricane Ian is expected to hit Florida this week and could make landfall as a strong Category 4 hurricane.
Already, plans are being made in the college football world to account for the storm’s impact. We’ve seen South Carolina move its game against South Carolina State to Thursday night. We’ve seen USF move its game against East Carolina from Tampa across the state to Boca Raton.
Now, Florida is changing its schedule, too. The Gators’ Week 5 matchup against Eastern Washington will now be played on Sunday at noon Eastern time instead of on Saturday:
Due to Hurricane Ian, our game vs. Eastern Washington has been re-scheduled for Sunday, October 2nd at noon.
All tickets issued for Saturday will be honored on Sunday.
