Jac Caglianone is putting together a power season for the ages at Florida. He added another home run to his nation-leading total Friday night in the 1st inning against South Carolina.

Facing the Gamecocks on the road, Caglianone drilled the first pitch he saw and the 5th pitch of the game for his 23rd HR of the season. It was the latest no-doubter to his credit, easily clearing the fans in right field with the South Carolina outfielder not even moving on the contact.

Coming into the game, Caglianone was already the nation in HRs. He now has 23 bombs on the season with just 27 strikeouts while slashing .373/.420/.870 (AVG/OBP/SLG) and an incredible 1.290 OPS.

We’ll see if Caglianone can add another to his tally against the Gamecocks, but he’s certainly off to a hot start Friday evening.
