Report: Florida receivers Jacob Copeland and Kadarius Toney make their decisions regarding playing in the fall
Great news from Gainesville as both Jacob Copeland and Kadarius Toney have reportedly made the same decision — they are locked in and ready to suit up for the Gators this fall.
Both Florida players had previously expressed interest in potentially opting out of the fall season but never fully committed to sitting the season out. When asked to discuss those players in media settings, Dan Mullen had not given a clear indication of any of his players’ desires to sit out the season — which only added to the uncertainty surrounding these players.
The latest news out of Gainesville, according to Zach Abolverdi of Gators Territory, is that both Copeland and Toney intend to play the season.
That’s great news for Kyle Trask, who has been rated by many as the SEC’s best returning passer heading into the upcoming season, and the momentum surrounding this team’s potential to win the SEC East this fall.
The decisions from Toney and Copeland come after defensive lineman Zachary Carter and fellow receiver Trevon Grimes both announced they plan to play this fall after some uncertainty regarding their status this fall was reported.
All in all, the last week has resulted in some great news for the Gators and the momentum of Mullen’s program riding into the season should continue now following these decisions from these four players.
