Kahleil Jackson made headlines for the wrong reasons Saturday.

After the Gators’ 45-35 home loss to LSU, screenshots of the redshirt freshman wide receiver’s post went viral. It was presumed to unleash some frustration, presumably about the game and possibly his lack of playing time this season.

The post created quite a stir, more so than Jackson probably ever would have expected. On Monday, he offered an apology for his actions by way of a statement released through the school. In his note, Jackson writes that the post was made before the game and directed at LSU.

You can read the entire statement/apology in the following tweet:

The LSU loss dropped the Gators to 4-3 in Billy Napier’s 1st season in Gainesville.

Florida is off this week but returns to action Oct. 29 for its annual rivalry game with No. 1 Georgia.
