Kaiir Elam has had a solid training camp so far for the Buffalo Bills, and the former Florida cornerback received high praise from his defensive coordinator, Leslie Frazier.

Elam has been excited to get to work with the Bills since they traded up from No. 25 to 23 to choose him to fill a position of need. Elam impressed fans and media when he told the Bills to “put the playbook on the plane,” they sent to pick him up for his first introductions.

It appears that same attitude has come with him to training camp.

“When I talked to Kaiir this morning, I complimented him on, in the short time we’ve been in training camp, how much he’s grown when it comes to coverage and being able to trust where his help is going to be, and playing to his leverage,” Frazier said. “Really pleased with his growth in that area, and it was something that you hope to see with every guy that you have in training camp. Each day they’ll grow a little bit more in being the concepts of what are defense are, or what they have to get done physically. We’re seeing that with Kaiir, he’s doing all the things we want him to do. Encouraged by his growth.”
