ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit appreciated one SEC team in particular on Saturday, and so much so, that he included it in his top six teams from the Week 8 action.

Of course, the Illinois upset of Wisconsin — the top story in college football — was at the top of his list, but the Gators winning at South Carolina, 38-27, on the strength of three straight touchdowns in the fourth quarter caught his eye. That confirmed an already huge matchup in Jacksonville on Nov. 2 with Georgia in a game that will likely settle the SEC East.

Kyle Trask passed for a career-high four touchdowns  on 200 yards to help the Gators avoid a second straight SEC loss. Trask converted a key fourth down and three play with a completion to TE Kyle Pitts.

The Gators now face three straight SEC East games after an off week on Saturday in a stretch that will likely define their season. It was big that Florida got the win despite being without injured pass rushers Jonathan Greenard and Jabari Zuniga.

Florida moved up one spot this week to No. 7 in the Associated Press poll.
