Kyle Pitts hauled in just his 2nd touchdown of the season Sunday afternoon against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Fans of the Falcons have called out the Falcons coaching staff over and over this season about not using Pitts to his full potential. The former Florida tight end is a physical specimen, but has only totaled 41 receptions with 492 yards and 1 touchdown this season.

But Pitts has been used well Sunday against the Bucs, sitting at 2 receptions for 38 yards and the below touchdown:

Pitts just has not been used as a goal-line threat by the Falcons across his 3-year tenure. Sunday’s touchdown is just his 5th for Atlanta across 40 games played.

Atlanta is playing Tampa tough entering the halftime break. The Falcons tied it up with Pitts’ touchdown, but Tampa was able to sack Desmond Ridder in the end zone for a safety soon after, making the halftime score 12-10.
