There’s no question about it, Kyle Pitts has been nothing short of a revelation for the Gators this season.

After just two games, Pitts has six touchdown receptions — which ties him for the most in the nation (Jaelon Darden of North Texas also has six touchdown receptions but he’s played in three games so far in the 2020 season).

In addition to his six touchdowns, Pitts also has 12 catches for 227 yards this season after playing against Ole Miss and South Carolina.

The two Kyles in Gainesville, that’s Pitts are quarterback Kyle Trask, have been mentioned among many when discussing the early leaders for the 2020 Heisman Trophy.

If Urban Meyer has an opportunity to cast his vote for the award this season, the former Florida and Ohio State coach may just write Pitts’ name on the ballot.

“I think they have the best player in America, at least non-quarterback,” Meyer had to say of Pitts to Yahoo Sports. “He’s a matchup nightmare.”

Considering the source of those comments, that’s some incredible praise for Florida’s tight end.
