Kyle Trask honored as national performer of the week for 6-TD game at Ole Miss
After a career day in Oxford, Florida QB Kyle Trask is being recognized as the College Football Performance Awards’ National Performer of the Week.
In a 51-35 Florida win over Ole Miss, Trask finished with career highs for passing yards (416) and passing touchdowns (6). Those numbers were put up by 30 completions, tying a career-high.
Trask became the sixth player in UF history to throw 6 touchdown passes in a game; he is the first Gator QB to throw 6 TDs since Chris Leak (Nov. 13, 2004 against South Carolina).
South Carolina happens to be next up on the schedule for Trask and the No. 3 Florida Gators. The game is set for a noon ET kickoff in Gainesville, Florida, airing on ESPN.
