The former landlords of Janoris Jenkins say the ex-Gator owes them some serious money for loss of value to a Fair Lawn, New Jersey property he rented for two years. The lease ended in May 2018.

A suit has reportedly been filed by S.R. and N.R. Tummalapenta seeking $700,000 in damages for a decrease in 30 percent value of the home Jenkins rented for two years at $5,500 per month. Jenkins’ brother, William Jenkins, is accused of killing music producer Roosevelt Rene in the home after the two got in an argument in the basement studio. The Tummalapentas say that even looking past the tragedy, that Jenkins was violating the terms of the lease by allowing his brother, who had a lengthy criminal record, to live at the property.

“Mr. Jenkins and the additional, non-occupant tenants and visitors have caused considerable reputational and physical damage to the property, in addition to emotional pain for the Tummalapentas – who one day hoped to pass this home to their children,” attorney Jonathan Swichar said per NorthJersey.com.

Jenkins signed a five-year, $62.5 million deal with the New York Giants in 2016.
