Florida has landed a late addition to its 2018 recruiting class following the commitment of junior college tight end prospect Lucas Krull.

The 6-foot-7, 255-pound Krull announced his commitment on Thursday evening. A former college baseball player, Krull is from Kansas and hasn’t played football since his prep career ended in 2016. He picked the Gators over Kansas State. The massive tight end prospect is eligible to join the program this summer and is expected to be a member of the football team heading into fall camp. He will have three years of eligibility remaining in Gainesville.

According to 247Sports, he is a four-star prospect and the No. 4 overall junior college prospect in the nation for the 2018 recruiting cycle.

Krull made his announcement with the following post:

It didn’t take Mullen long before he reacted to the news. The Gator coach sent out the following tweet once Krull committed:

Krull’s high school highlight reel dates all the way back to 2016 but it’s pretty impressive. He caught 52 passes for 815 yards and 14 touchdowns as a senior for Mill Valley High School in Shawnee, Kansas.
