SEC Network analyst Laura Rutledge did not shy away from her choice for the next Florida coach.

Appearing on The Paul Finebaum Show, Rutledge mentioned Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy as her pick to replace Jim McElwain, and even held a sign with his picture on it, complete with his mullet. Rutledge listed Gundy as having an offensive mind, and a good fit for the culture in Gainesville.

For his part, Finebaum added that there was friction between Gundy and Oklahoma State booster T. Boone Pickens.

This isn’t the first time Gundy has been linked with the Florida job. Three years ago following the Will Muschamp departure, Gundy reportedly went through back channels to let his interest be known.

Oklahoma State is 7-1 this season, and Gundy is in his 13th season coaching the Cowboys.
