Just like everyone else tuning in for Jacob Copeland’s live commitment on ESPN during National Signing Day, Dan Mullen was waiting in anticipation of which hat would be chosen.
Due to the fact the receiver’s commitment ceremony was broadcast live, his mother’s decision to get up from the table and walk away after Copeland put on the Gator hat become arguably the most memorable moment of 2018’s National Signing Day. Video of the segment went viral before Copeland’s mother embraced him for a hug moments later.
