LOOK: Luke Del Rio says Dan Mullen may lose the fanbase by starting Feleipe Franks; Franks responds
Former Florida QB Luke Del Rio was on the roster at the same time as Feleipe Franks, who was replaced during a blowout loss against Mizzou on Saturday.
As the Gators prepare for this weekend’s game against South Carolina, it’s unclear whether Franks or backup Kyle Trask will get the start.
On Monday, Del Rio tweeted that coach Dan Mullen risks losing the Florida fanbase if he starts Franks again. On Tuesday, Franks responded. You can see the now-deleted response from Franks below:

Del Rio said Franks needs to get off Twitter, adding that his original tweet was taken out of context by the embattled Florida quarterback:
Get off twitter dude. Only negativity waiting for you. And my follow up tweet to this was "This is not how I feel, but this is how our fanbase feels." https://t.co/bTuCKVH8YO

And thats why you stay off twitter if you are a #CFB player when the twitterverse is crushing you for your play. He took one tweet completely out of context but he knows I'm not wrong either. #Gators

Who will start this weekend? Mullen hasn’t announced that yet, but a big decision looms for the Gators’ future.
