Gator defensive back Marco Wilson announces his plans for the 2020 season
Good news Gator fans, Marco Wilson is returning for another season in Gainesville.
Florida’s outstanding redshirt sophomore cornerback had a decision to make following his latest season suiting up for the Gators but Wilson still has much he wants to accomplish in Gainesville before he sets his sights on the NFL.
Wilson finished last season with 36 tackles and three interceptions, both career highs during his college career. This news is even more important for Todd Grantham’s defense as CJ Henderson had already declared early for the 2020 NFL Draft.
Now with Wilson returning, Florida will not have to replace both cornerbacks in the lineup earlier than anticipated.
Wilson announced the news with the following Twitter post:
I will be returning to the University of Florida for another year. Our team has a lot of goals that we are still working to accomplish and I would love to be a part of that experience. I cannot wait to get back to work with my brothers for this upcoming season.🐊 Jeremiah 29:11 pic.twitter.com/mluvlsarps
