Dan Mullen’s program has just added another four-star prospect to the team’s current recruiting class as one of the top receivers from the state of Florida just announced his commitment to the Gators.

Four-star Trinity Christian Academy standout Marcus Burke announced his pledge to Florida on Monday. Burke’s commitment gives Florida 21 total commitments in the 2021 class.

“First and foremost, I would like to thank God for blessing me with the ability to play the sport I love. I would also like to thank my coaches, teammates, and supporters for guiding me along this process. Last, but certainly not least, I would like to thank my family and my parents for sacrificing to helping me live out my dream. With that being said, I would like to thank all the coaches who recruited me, but I can now say that I have found a home. I am 100 percent committed to the University of Florida.”

The 6-foot-3, 180-pound Jacksonville native is rated as the No. 40 receiver nationally and the No. 223 overall prospect in the 2021 recruiting cycle by 247Sports Composite Rankings. Burke committed to the Gators over scholarship offers from Georgia, Auburn and Florida State, among others.

During his junior season at Trinity Christian Academy, the four-star prospect caught 37 passes for 831 yards and nine touchdowns.

Based on his highlight reel, he’s got the unique combination of size and speed the Dan Mullen looks for in his receivers down in Gainesville.
