If Mark-Antony Richards didn’t already know, Dan Mullen recently reinforced just how big of a priority the West Palm Beach native is to the Florida football program.

Rated as a four-star prospect and a top 100 recruit nationally by 247Sports Composite Rankings, Richards has taken recent official visits to Auburn, Miami and Florida leading up to the upcoming National Signing Day on Feb. 6.

The Gators are currently in a heated battle for the services of the four-star recruit from Wellington High School but Mullen’s latest gesture may prove to be enough to put Florida over the top. Florida’s coach touched down in West Palm Beach via helicopter on Tuesday to the delight of the Wellington student body.

Sabirah Rayford of WPTV in West Palm Beach was on the scene and captured video footage of Mullen exiting his Gatorcopter on Tuesday:

According to Rayford, the event was put on so that Mullen could offer Richards an official scholarship to play in Gainesville:

Based on the reaction of the student body, the school band included, it’s pretty clear where most of the participants from Wellington High School want Richards to play his college football.
