Jedd Fisch is Arizona’s new head coach, taking over the Wildcats program from Kevin Sumlin.

On Tuesday, he went through his first Pac-12 Media Day. However, the subject came up about his SEC past.

Fisch, who was a graduate assistant under Steve Spurrier at Florida in 1999 and 2000, was asked about his favorite one-liner from the Head Ball Coach. He replied that he has always enjoyed one that trolled the Tennessee Volunteers:

Fisch learned a lot from Spurrier. He now takes over Arizona, which will be his first full-time head coaching job. He had previously served as UCLA’s interim coach in 2017.

Perhaps Fisch can follow in his mentor’s footsteps and come up with some creative one-liners of his own.
