Oops: Colin Cowherd makes big mistake when comparing Tim Tebow to Vince Young
When your job is to talk on the radio for several hours a day, sometimes you’re going to make some mistakes.
Well, FOX Sports host Colin Cowherd made a big one on Tuesday when he tried to compare former Texas QB Vince Young to former Florida QB Tim Tebow.
As you can hear in the clip below, Cowherd gets his timeline mixed up in a pretty significant way:
Colin Cowherd tells us that he did not like Vince Young coming out of Texas, because Young's throwing motion reminded him of Tim Tebow. One small problem: Tim Tebow was still in high school when Young was drafted.

“I was never a big Vince Young fan,” Cowherd said. “I hated his throwing motion. I said he reminds me of Tebow. He wins games, but that throwing motion, he’ll never be a great pocket passer.”
The only problem, as mentioned in the tweet, is that Young was drafted in the 2006 NFL Draft, meaning his college career ended in 2005. Tebow’s Florida career didn’t begin until the 2006 season, so Cowherd definitely got some timing wrong in that clip above.
