If you haven’t heard by now, Florida fired Jim McElwain on Sunday.

The Gators are now looking for a new head football coach. It’s always fun to check into the Vegas odds to see which names are at the top of the list.

BetOnline has released its odds on who will become Florida’s next head coach.

The favorite in the Vegas clubhouse right now is Mississippi State head coach Dan Mullen, who has obvious ties to Florida athletic director Scott Stricklin. Stricklin worked with Mullen for years as the Bulldogs’ AD.

Mullen also happened to be Florida’s offensive coordinator under Urban Meyer from 2005 to 2008, and helped the Gators win two national championships during that span. It’s no shock to see him at +350 here.

Also listed is UCF head coach Scott Frost, who has taken the Knights to a 7-0 record this year after inheriting an 0-12 team at the end of the 2015 season. Quite a turnaround.

Steve Spurrier and Tim Tebow also happen be on the list.
