Pair of Florida underclassmen announce plans to enter NCAA transfer portal
Florida is losing a pair of young talents to the transfer portal.
247Sports Matt Zenitz reported Wednesday that freshman defensive lineman Will Norman and sophomore defensive back Kamari Wilson are both expected to enter the transfer portal.
Norman came to Florida as a 4-star recruit out of New Jersey. He was the No. 195 player nationally and the No. 23 defensive lineman national according to 247Sports Composite. He saw limited action this season, making an appearance in just one game. Out of high school, Norman held offers from Arizona State, Auburn and a handful of other schools.
After a productive freshman season, Wilson also saw limited action for the Gators this year. In 2022, he had 39 tackles and a forced fumble. This year, he played in just one game.
Wilson was a 4-star prospect out of high school. He was considered to be the No. 44 player nationally and the No. 3 safety according to 247Sports Composite. A Florida native and IMG Academy product, he held offers from Florida State, Georgia, LSU and Texas A&M coming out of high school.
