It’s late in the 2018 season for a change at starting quarterback, but Dan Mullen faces uncertainty at the position heading into the final stretch of the season.

After going 9-of-22 for only 84 passing yards, Feleipe Franks, Florida’s starting quarterback all season, was benched in favor of fellow redshirt sophomore Kyle Trask.

Off the bench Trask went 10-of-18 for 126 yards and a touchdown. A quick scan of social media shows that many Gators fans are hoping Trask gets the start against South Carolina on Saturday. Those fans will be excited to see that Pro Football Focus gave Trask the highest grade of any Florida player in the game Saturday.

Mullen and his staff will obviously go off of their own evaluations, but it certainly feels like things are trending in Trask’s favor.
