Some rivalries never die.

Despite leaving his alma matter to become Florida’s new athletic director, Scott Stricklin still has an allegiance to Mississippi State. Stricklin spent 12 years serving numerous roles in the Bulldogs’ athletic program, most recently working as the school’s AD until accepting the position at Florida in September.

So naturally, he still has some animosity toward rival Ole Miss, as proven by sharing the photo below on Twitter Saturday.

As you can see, this photo has nothing to do with Florida or Mississippi State, but does display Ole Miss falling short in a 53-52 overtime shootout in 2015. At the time, the Rebels ranked No. 18 overall, but were upset by a Razorbacks team that recorded 605 yards of total offense, which included quarterback Brandon Allen throwing for 442 and six touchdowns on 33 of 45 passing.

Clearly the rivalry is still in Stricklin’s blood, despite his new position at Florida.
