Editor’s note: 247Sports article saying Chip Kelly has accepted the UCLA job was removed by the site.

Former Oregon and NFL coach Chip Kelly is a hot commodity on the coaching market in recent weeks, but has reportedly narrowed his focus to the open Florida and UCLA jobs.

However, according to new reports, he may have already made up his mind between the two schools.

The UCLA 247Sports site reports that their sources have said Kelly has decided to become UCLA’s new head coach:

A large number of reliable sources in the coaching and agent worlds are indicating that Chip Kelly has decided to coach at UCLA.

It’s obviously not official yet, but the report states that Kelly has been reaching out to potential assistants to gauge their interest in joining him at UCLA:

Not only is that the consistent buzz among agents, but some assistant coaches who have previously worked with Kelly are telling various sources that they’ve spoken to Kelly about specifically joining him on the UCLA staff.

This is certainly an interesting report, but until a deal is signed, anything can happen. Florida won’t give up on Kelly, but it is clear that UCLA won’t, either.
