Demarcus Robinson, Florida’s leading receiver, will reportedly rejoin the Gators this Saturday for the SEC Championship Game.

Robinson had been suspended indefinitely for an undisclosed violation. He sat out the Gators’ 27-2 loss to Florida State last Saturday.

“He’s come a long ways, but he still has a long ways to go,” Florida head coach Jim McElwain told the Orlando Sentinel.

McElwain let the Gators’ seniors decide whether or not to allow Robinson to come back.

“Yeah, the seniors got together and gave him an opportunity to talk to the team,” McElwain told rivals.com. “It was a choice for him to not be with his family and us in the last ballgame. Sometimes, the greatest lessons in life are when things are taken away from you and you’re no longer enabled. As I said before, he has come a long ways, but he still has a long ways to go to understand it’s not OK to make choices that hurt your team.”

Robinson has been suspended four times during his Gator career. In 2013, he missed a total of three games because of two different violations of team rules. He was also suspended for the team’s season opener in 2014 (which was rained out and never played) due to a sanction by the university.

Robinson, a junior, has caught a team-high 47 passes for 505 yards and two touchdowns this season.
