Job security isn’t a thing in the NFL these days.
Star quarterbacks aside, everyone else on a roster can be deemed expendable (just ask star RB Adrian Peterson), so having a contract in place, even if it’s just for one season, is a big deal for a large portion of NFL athletes.
On Thursday, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, former Florida DL Dominique Easley signed his tender with the Los Angeles Rams, landing him a spot on the roster heading into training camp:

Easley, who was selected in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft by the New England Patriots, spent his first two years with that team before moving to the Rams last season.
While playing in all 16 games for Los Angeles last year, Easley recorded 35 tackles and 3.5 sacks.
