One of the wildest recruitments of the 2021 cycle has resulted in a 2020 fall enrollment. It took Kamar Wilcoxson three commitments to Florida, but he is now reportedly part of the Gators football team.

Blake Alderman of 247Sports reports that the defensive back practiced with the team on Friday. Wilcoxson appeared to confirm the report by retweeting Alderman.

As a 2021 prospect, Wilcoxson was rated 4-stars, the No. 17 safety, No. 40 recruit in Florida and No. 280 prospect overall nationally on the 247Sports Composite. Wilcoxson is rated as a Florida recruit due to his January transfer to the IMG Academy in Bradenton, though his last high school football season was played at Stephenson High School in Stone Mountain, Georgia.

Wilcoxson originally committed to Florida on Nov. 3, 2018. He then backed off that pledge on April 27, 2019. Just a few months later, July 27, 2019, Wilcoxson decided to re-commit to the Gators. The second commitment lasted until March 26, 2020. Roughly a month later, April 27, 2020, Wilcoxson committed to the Tennessee Volunteers. He flipped his commit back to UF in June, writing, “I’m blessed to be committed to the University of Florida for good. My recruitment is officially over,” in a lengthy note posted with his announcement.
