It’s an uphill battle to make an NFL roster as a rookie undrafted free agent signee. Things just got more challenging for former Florida wide receiver Trevon Grimes.
Grimes was let go by Philadelphia on Wednesday with the Eagles listing the roster move as “waived/injured.”
The announcement comes days after NJ.com’s Mike Kaye reported that Grimes underwent a knee procedure. Kaye reported that “injury is not believed to be serious in nature” and that it was unclear if the procedure was related to Grimes’ torn ACL from high school. Grimes was sporting a brace and crutches in a photo he posted Wednesday on his Twitter account.
