Spring practice is important to a team’s development, but with game-planning months away, coaches and players can also have some fun out on the practice field.

On Saturday, Dan Mullen shared that he was willing to call off sprints on Friday if three out of four linemen could catch a punt. Mullen picked two defensive linemen, Zach Carter and Brenton Cox (an outside linebacker who plays up near the line as a pass-rushing specialist), and two offensive linemen, Richard Gouraige and Stewart “Big Stew” Reese, for the challenge.

The Gators had to do sprints as three of the four were unable to successfully field a punt. If Florida ever needs a 6-4, 277-pounder to step in as an emergency punt returner, though, it appears Carter could get the job done.
