Orlando Apollos head coach Steve Spurrier shared his disappointment for the players and the fans, but also went into classic HBC mode pointing out that his team should be crowned champions since it had the best record (7-1) in the league.

While the AAF itself hasn’t made any kind of official announcement and instead let the suspension of operations play out in the press, the Apollos social media department decided to give Spurrier his championship, hopping on Photoshop and adding “The Alliance champions” to the team photo, which was shared in a Facebook post Wednesday:

The Apollos are obviously not the first Orlando-based football team to claim a title despite not playing in a championship game.
