The fallout from last summer’s credit card fraud scandal in Gainesville is still affecting the Florida football program months after it occurred as defensive end Jordan Smith has just announced he would be leaving the school permanently.

It was unclear if he ever had much of an alternative following as he and offensive lineman Kadeem Telfort were charged with the most crimes during that event and were not offered pre-trial interventions by authorities. Be that as it may, he’s closed the door on his saga in Gainesville.

Rated as a four-star prospect from Georgia in the 2016 recruiting class, Smith leaves the program without registering a single statistic for the Gators. He was redshirted in 2016 and was suspended for the entire 2017 season.
