Tim Tebow will be inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in the Class of 2023. The former Florida star was honored in The Swamp on Saturday ahead of the ceremony on Dec. 5.

Tebow was greeted by legendary Florida coach Steve Spurrier, who handed the QB his Hall of Fame plaque.

Tebow starred for the Gators from 2006-2009, winning 2 BCS National Championships, a Heisman Trophy, and earning First-team All-American honors twice, among countless other honors. The QB was inducted into Florida’s Ring of Honor in 2018.

Spurrier is also included in that Ring of Honor, so it’s fitting that the coach was there with Tebow on Saurday. Spurrier won his own Heisman as a QB for the Gators in 1966. Then, as the coach for the Gators for 12 seasons, Spurrier finished with 6 SEC Championships and 1 national championship.

The Gators are trying to qualify for a bowl and play spoiler in the process. Sitting at 5-6, a win would qualify the Gators for a bowl, while also giving the Florida State Seminoles their 1st loss of the season. Tebow was a perfect 4-0 against the Seminoles while at Florida.
