Former Florida QB Tim Tebow has been trying his hand at baseball recently, and he’s had some success, advancing all the way to the New York Mets’ triple-A squad.

It seems he’ll continue his baseball career this summer, and indeed, he has received an invitation to the Mets’ spring training.

Per Anthony DiComo of MLB.com, Tebow is a non-roster invitee to the team’s spring training activities:

In 77 games at triple-A Syracuse last year, Tebow struggled at the plate, hitting .163 with 4 home runs and 19 RBI. He then lacerated his hand, which caused him to miss the rest of the season.

Where will he start this year? And will he appear in the majors? It’ll be an interesting summer for Tebow.
