Tim Tebow is returning to The Swamp to be recognized ahead of his induction into the College Football Hall of Fame.

The National Football Foundation’s Hall of Fame On-Campus Salute brings inductees back to their home stadium to accept a Hall of Fame plaque that will remain on display at Florida. Tebow is set to be inducted as part of the Hall’s 2023 class.

“Ranking among the most decorated athletes in college football history, Tim Tebow played with passion and leadership skills equaled by few, inspiring his Gator teammates to a pair of national championships while becoming the first sophomore in history to win the Heisman Trophy,” NFF President & CEO Steve Hatchell said in a release. “We are thrilled to honor him at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium as a member of the 2023 College Football Hall of Fame Class.”

Tebow’s On-Campus Salute is set to take place during Florida’s rivalry showdown with Florida State, a team he never lost to in his Gator career. UF announced that The Swamp will be sold out on Saturday as the Gators face an undefeated FSU team looking to make the College Football Playoff.

Florida’s 3-game winning streak in the rivalry was snapped last year in Tallahassee. The Seminoles have not won in The Swamp since 2017 in Jimbo Fisher’s final game at Florida State.

Saturday’s game is set for a 7 p.m. ET kickoff, airing on ESPN.
