Todd Golden on why he jumped at chance to coach Florida: 'One of the best jobs in America'
Todd Golden is the new head coach for the Florida men’s basketball team, coming over from San Francisco.
Now, he’ll have the job of pulling the Gators out of the mediocrity they fell into in recent years.
During Florida’s NIT game against Xavier on Sunday, Golden joined the broadcast and shared his thoughts on his new job. He said Florida is a place you should perennially play for titles and added that it’s a top job in America:

Golden also acknowledged that college basketball has drastically changed in recent years, saying he can’t wait to get started recruiting the transfer portal:

Can Golden get the Gators back to the NCAA Tournament in 2023? We’ll see what his first roster in Gainesville looks like this coming season.
