Treon Harris injures finger on throwing hand against Gamecocks

Published:
Florida Gators starting quarterback Treon Harris came away with an injury to his right pinky finger after sustaining a huge hit from a South Carolina defender.
Harris rolled left and tried to complete a short pass to Brandon Powell for the first down near the sideline, but the pass fell incomplete and Harris was knocked to the ground. The camera showed Harris shaking his throwing hand as he walked off the field and the Miami native went straight over to the Gators training staff.
SEC Network’s Laura Rutledge says Harris’s pinky was bleeding, and lands on the laces of the football in his grip. This is bad.

Harris returned on the Gators’ next drive, but we’ll have to wait and see if his ability to throw the football is affected throughout the rest of the game.
Drew Laing will be providing analysis and insight on Florida, Georgia, Missouri and South Carolina.
