Great news for Kyle Trask: Trevon Grimes commits to playing this fall
The Gators have been a popular pick this offseason to win the SEC East but one of the biggest potential issues on Florida’s roster coming into the season is the receiver position.
While Florida did lose contributors Van Jefferson, Freddie Swain, Tyrie Cleveland and Josh Hammond during the offseason, the Gators project to have several playmakers for Kyle Trask to target this fall — that was, before speculation started that many of the team’s receivers were considering opting out for the season.
One of the players rumored to be considering an opt-out was senior Trevon Grimes, who is being projected by many to be a breakout candidate in the SEC this fall.
Well, good news Gator fans, Grimes recently slammed the door on any speculation that he may opt-out.

Last season, Grimes caught 33 passes for 491 yards and three touchdowns. Now that we know he plans to play in the fall, look for Grimes to double up those numbers.
Now we wait to find out if Kadarius Toney and Jacob Copeland, the other receivers rumored to be considering an opt-out, plan to play this season.
