The Florida Gators have a huge game against the No. 7 Utah Utes to kick off the season. It will be important for new head coach Billy Napier to start his tenure with Florida strong, but he’ll have his work cut out for him ahead of this one. Don’t expect Utah coach Kyle Whittingham to show the former Ragin’ Cajuns head-man any mercy now that he’s up at the big time.

Specifically, it’s being reported that Whittingham isn’t going to release a depth chart ahead of the season-opening matchup.

The first game of the season is always a bit of a feeling-out process, because who knows how a team has changed from last season’s film to this season’s in-game action?

With that said, most head coaches around college football can at least pull up a media guide or simply google their opponent’s depth chart to at least get an idea of who they’ll see on the field come Week 1.

Napier and the Gators will have to do a little bit more work on that front, though, which means that unless Whittingham changes his mind or the Utes release a gameday program before the actual game, Florida’s scouting department is going to have to work overtime.
