Utah has some good ones in the creative department.

Following the Utes’ 24-11 win over Florida on Thursday to open the season, Utah’s social media team did a little bit of trolling at the Gators’ expense. “Chomp chomp,” the Utes said on Twitter.

A four-part Netflix documentary chronicling the Florida Gators’ dominance from 2005-10 started streaming on Aug. 22. It was titled “Swamp Kings.” The doc — part of Netflix’s “Untold” series — promised to give a look at a football team that dominated on the gridiron but battled serious issues off of it.

It was a documentary that was met with quite a bit of criticism, but made headlines nonetheless. Florida, despite its periods of bad football, also captures eyeballs.

Thursday night’s game was broadcast to a primetime audience on ESPN. The country saw a hapless and undisciplined Florida team. It also saw a potentially dominant Utah team.

Despite missing key starters all over the field, the Utes controlled the game from start to finish and held the Florida offense mostly in check. The Gators finished with more than 300 yards through the air, but the ground game was nonexistent, the pass protection was shaky, and the scoreboard was dry.

The Gators take the field again next Saturday, Sept. 9, against McNeese State.
