With Florida’s running back position set to have a big addition next season, one veteran Gator has confirmed that he’s entered the transfer portal, likely to look for more playing time elsewhere.

Iverson Clement, a former 4-star recruit out of Mount Holly, N.J. in the class of 2018, was rated as the No. 7 player in New Jersey while being classified as an athlete after seeing time at multiple positions in high school.

Clement saw little playing time in three years at Florida. As a redshirt sophomore in 2020, he has just five carries for 29 yards, with two of those carries coming late in the game on Saturday against Kentucky. On the game’s final play, he was tripped up near the goal line.

The 247Composite rated him as the No. 329 overall prospect in the 2018 class. He was ranked as the No. 16 athlete in the class and the No. 7 overall player in the state of New Jersey.

Florida’s backfield in 2021 could have some of the players it featured this season, including junior Dameon Pierce, who has a team-leading 412 yards and three touchdowns on 80 carries. Redshirt junior Malik Davis has 49 carries for 196 yards and redshirt freshman Nay’Quan Wright has 42 carries for 156 yards and a touchdown.

Also this fall, Florida added former 5-star recruit in Clemson transfer Demarkcus Bowman, who was a Florida target during his recruiting cycle.
