Saturday’s Vanderbilt-Florida game in Nashville is getting testy, and tensions boiled over late in the second quarter.

When a Vandy defender went down near the Florida sideline, coach Derek Mason made his way over to check on his player. While he was over there, he had some choice words for Florida coach Dan Mullen and DC Todd Grantham.

As you can see in the video below, Mullen has to be held back from going after Mason for whatever he was yelling at the Florida sideline:

Then, both benches cleared, but the teams were kept apart well by coaches and officials before things could escalate further:

The fracas stemmed from a targeting foul that cost a Florida linebacker the rest of his day. Star Florida LB Vosean Joseph also earned himself an ejection for his second personal foul of the game — a huge loss for the Gators.

The Commodores hold a 21-10 lead late in the second quarter. The officials will have their hands full to keep both teams in check moving forward.
