Florida QB Feleipe Franks may not have had a great 2017 season, but that won’t stop him from competing for the starting job this fall.
On Saturday, he had a huge spring game, throwing for a touchdown and running for two others, including a long 60-yard scamper to the end zone.
After the game, Franks said he’ll do whatever it takes to help the Gators win, as you can see in the interview below with Brady Ackerman:

“Whatever they’ve asked me to do, I’m willing to do that just to help the team,” Franks said. “I’m trying to win a championship, just like everyone else around here. Whatever is asked of me to do, I’m going to do that whether it be running, whether it be throwing the ball vertical, intermediate passes, short passes, anything like that just to get our guys the ball in their hands and let them work.”
Franks has competition for the starting job this year from Kyle Trask, Jake Allen and Emory Jones, but if a decision had to be made following Saturday’s scrimmage, Franks would likely be the starter in Week 1.
