Spring games are a time to have some fun and reward players for a spring filled with hard work. It’s also a time to get fans excited about the upcoming season.

On Saturday, the Florida Gators did just that under new coach Dan Mullen, and one play in particular stood out from the action.

During the first half, legendary Florida S Lawrence Wright snuck onto the field and caught a 48-yard touchdown pass, as you can see in the video below:

He had to go to the ground to make the catch, but they counted the score just the same, and it was a nice grab for a guy who hasn’t played in the NFL since 1999.

Wright was a captain on Florida’s 1996 championship team, earning first-team All-SEC honors during the 1995 and 1996 seasons. He is a member of Florida’s Athletic Hall of Fame.
