One of Florida’s all-time greats was back at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium on Saturday.

Former quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow was at The Swamp to become the sixth member of the Florida Ring of Honor. After giving a pregame pep talk to the Gators in the locker room, Tebow was honored in front of the fans early during the game against LSU.

Tebow also addressed the fans after he was honored. He joined Emmitt Smith, Steve Spurrier, Danny Wuerffel, Jack Youngblood and Wilber Marshall in the Ring of Honor.

Tebow had a tremendous career with the Gators, playing from 2006-09. He won two national championships, two SEC championships and the 2007 Heisman Trophy.

After his college career, Tebow went on to have a brief career in the NFL. He is currently playing minor league baseball as a member of the New York Mets organization and serving as an analyst for SEC Network.

Florida fans were certainly excited to see Tebow back in Gainesville. They’ll be even more excited if the Gators can pull off an upset against LSU.
