Wyatt Langford was selected No. 4 overall at the 2023 MLB Draft Sunday evening. He’ll be playing with the Texas Rangers organization, but he may not be in the farm system for long.

Langford was predicted by some to go No. 1 overall, a strong likelihood if not for the insane LSU duo of Dylan Crews and Paul Skenes. Langford was one of the best sluggers in the country this past season, finishing with a slugging percentage of .784 with 21 home runs, 88 hits and 57 RBI.

He finished with the 2nd highest slugging percentage in the SEC this past season, behind Georgia’s Charlie Condon.

Now, he’s heading to Arlington.
