DJ Uiagalelei reportedly undergoes surgery, could miss rest of 2024 season
DJ Uiagalelei’s 2024 season is in jeopardy, according to a report.
That’s per 247Sports’ Matt Zenitz, who shared on Saturday that the Florida State quarterback underwent surgery this week to repair a hand injury. Uiagalelei suffered the injury in Florida State’s loss to SMU last week.
Per Zenitz, Uiagalelei is expected to miss “at the very least several weeks” and could be out for the remainder of the 2024 campaign.

Even before sustaining this injury, Uiagalelei was in jeopardy of being replaced as Florida State’s starter. The Noles are 1-4 this season and Uiagalelei has been a big part of their struggles. He’s averaging just 6.8 yards per attempt this season and has thrown 6 interceptions and 4 touchdown passes.
Brock Glenn will earn the start on Saturday against Clemson in Tallahassee. He has also struggled to start his collegiate career, but perhaps a new look under center will give Florida State’s offense a spark on Saturday vs. the Tigers.
Kickoff between Florida State and Clemson is set for 7 p.m. ET on Saturday night.
