Jameis Winston has been known to produce all the highs and lows one can expect from an NFL quarterback. On Monday Night Football, he lived up to that reputation in a game for the history books with the Cleveland Browns.
Winston provided many highlight plays, including a 70-yard pass to Jerry Jeudy in the 3rd quarter. He also had a touchdown pass to Nick Chub midway through the 4th quarter that gave the Browns a brief lead over the Denver Broncos.
When it was all said and done, Winston set a new career-high with 497 passing yards. He has just 2 other games past 450+ passing yards in his NFL career.
There are just a few problems. For starters, Winston threw 3 interceptions. And with that, Winston actually threw 2 pick-6s with the last one allowing the Broncos to put the game away at 41-32 inside the final 2 minutes.
All added up, Winston had 497 passing yards and 171 interception return yards on his 3 picks. That brings his combined passing yards and interception return yards to a whopping 668 yards, the most from a QB in a single game in NFL history.

After the loss, Winston reacted to the performance in the only way Winston can. He expressed a prayer to be “delivered from the pick-6s” while saying he is better than that performance.
“I am a better player, but at times like this, it’s an opportunity to continue glorify the Lord even through the toughest circumstances,” said Winston. “I know I’m better than this, I’m just praying for the Lord to deliver me from pick-6s. That’s not me.”
