Georgia's all-time record against every SEC team
Georgia’s 2015 season was marked by adding room between the Bulldogs and a historical rival, while losing ground on another.
By and large, the Bulldogs padded their record against SEC East foes Missouri and Kentucky, while the Alabama loss made the Crimson Tide the most successful SEC opponent against Georgia in terms of winning percentage.
In the long history of the Georgia-Auburn rivalry, the Bulldogs took the lead overall in the series that now stands at 56-55-8.
The loss the Bulldogs suffered against Tennessee kept the Volunteers as the only SEC East team Georgia has a losing record against. While LSU, Texas A&M and Alabama hold that label from the West.
Overall, Georgia’s all-time record is 392-248-24 against SEC teams.
OPPONENT | RECORD | WIN % |
---|---|---|
Missouri | 5-1 | .833 |
Kentucky | 57-11-2 | .814 |

Vanderbilt | 56-19-2 | .727 |
Ole Miss | 32-12-1 | .722 |
Arkansas | 10-4 | .714 |
South Carolina | 49-18-2 | .710 |
Florida | 50-43-2 | .526 |
Auburn | 56-55-8 | .470 |
Tennessee | 21-23-2 | .456 |
LSU | 13-16-1 | .433 |
Texas A&M | 2-3 | .400 |
Alabama | 25-39-4 | .367 |
I wish Georgia would play LSU and Ole Miss more often.
The conference definitely needs to go to a 9 game conference schedule. TAMU has been in the conference since 2012 and we still haven’t played them. That’s insane. At least we play Ole Miss this season.
Nope. No 9 game schedule. Don’t want it and it wouldn’t be fair.
So you would rather see the Tigers play Louisiana-Monroe than Georgia or Tennessee. No thanks, I’ll pass on that. With the talent LSU gets every year you should hope that they play legit competition every week.
So Georgia has won more games over Auburn, yet has a losing record….. Got it.
Auburn 56-55-8 .470
That makes sense to you and I, but this is SDS. The 56 wins are not counted against 55 losses. The 56 wins are counted against the 55 losses and the 8 ties. So 56-63 or .470
Not really. They’re calculating the winning percentage which is wins divided by the total number of games played — not wins vs. losses. 56 wins / 119 games played = .470 = 47%, losing percentage = .462 = 46.2%, tie percentage = .068 = 6.8%
47%(W) + 46.2%(L) + 6.8%(T) = 100% of games played
You basically just said exactly what he said but made it more complicated and drew out your equations.
There’s a difference between 56-55-8 and “56-63.” UGA didn’t lose 63 games against Auburn. Eight were ties. Big difference — a difference of eight. I hope that’s not too complicated for you, matt.
Narrator did not in include some of the tie games(4) in the win column that’s why his percentage is showing .470. The correct percentage is .504.
Y’all can’t even cross reference your own writers?! I swear, our record against UGA isn’t even accurate on our page. 30-43-6?! But it’s SDS, so I’m not too surprised anymore
UGA is only behind UT by one game 22-21 and ahead of Allbarn by one game :)
